If I play any game for an hour and don't smile at least once, the game is absolute crap.
A good game will have you smiling for most of that hour.
The trial never rolled over. Unless you set it to, the normal subscription won't roll over either. Every year I have to reconfirm the charge before it charges me.
The original xbox had 12 million consoles sold at the end of 2004 (3 years after launch). 360 has 21 million sold in the same time period.
Let's do a little math...
21-12 = 9 million sales difference between the xbox and the 360 in the same time period. that's 175% more.
Take econ. That's not how it works. It's not a 1 to 1 increase ever. Sometimes it's more, sometimes it's less. The only thing that should be a sure shot by sound economic theory is that there will be an increase in demand with a price drop.
I think the poostorm with the economy hit at a really bad time for M$. kinda took the wind right out of their sales...
they've been breaking pieces of it with every patch since launch. It's about time they broke the whole f#ckin game.
yes... truth...
I know more people with a 360 that never owned an xbox than people that moved from xbox to 360.
Don't pretend like any of that is even a shred factual. It's just the "facts" you've decided make sense inside your own mind.
is what this is... flat out.
I don't think many of you read the whole article.
The writer still wants a home like experience, he's just arguing for making it more fantasy centric and creative than making it a realistic place.
He has a good point, I think home would be a lot more successful if it were that way. Avatars and their spaces should express who they are, not necessarily what they look like, and with the backbone of LBP already existing with that as one of the core values, he holds a goo...
they'd join the army or go paintballing.
I enjoy the feature personally, but it should be optional not mandatory. Sometimes people just like to talk to my friends while I shoot people.
How did you pay so much? they extended the warranty about 1.5 years after release. You said you got it day 1, +13 months, +1 month repair time, + (less than a year) months till you sent it back again.
I know it's semantics, but it's misleading to say less than a year, when it was less than 5 months.
Also, all your money should have been refunded, and you should have gotten 2 months of free xbl, as well as a free Microsoft Game Studios game.
That's just not possible. Something in the game would be gimped because of it. Either physics or AI. Graphics is easy to turn down, but if you want to really take advantage of new hardware (unless it's just a supped up version of old hardware) you can't make it forward compatible.
Pretty much what they'd be doing is competing with themselves. If I can play every xbox 720 game on my xbox 360, why should I buy a 720? It won't look as good, but for someone with a budget, that's a reasonable switch.
More likely than anything what they're talking about is just being able to upscale xbox 360 games for a while. I sincerely doubt that microsoft would do well making games that don't take full advantage of their new hardware.
Ninety Nine Nights had many hundreds of NPCs on screen all running AI, all killable within a second, at which point they all turned into rag dolls and ended up flying around the levels.\

it wasn't the best game ever, but it had a TON of stuff on screen.
some people here know math.
$200<$300<$400
Those are the prices the consumer sees when they grab a box.
haze was a haze killer...
are you a tard? almost all CGI has aliasing of some sort. When you prerender stuff, you put everything you can into making the game look good. They'd probably put between 4 and 10 times as many AA passes on a CGI film than you'll ever see in a game.
That said, the game is not that graphically impressive. I can quite literally count the polys on the main character and the environment. It's just like SoTC, it's got good design, but it's not graphically impressive.
Good...
just honest. being a douche on the internet makes you a douche.
He's a douche. Why should he not call it like it is? I have the utmost respect for what he made, but that doesn't forgive him being a douche.
First, square has a responsibility to they're own fanbase, not the sony fanbase. The game is still coming out on PS3, so deal with it. They aren't even starting 360 development till the game is done, so it won't even be gimped. Square was never synonymous with sony; they are their own company, and they sell on the system that sells best. Deal with that.
Second, 360 fans do care about the game. Final Fantasy was the game that turned me into a gamer. Just because I chose a differen...
That's just a stupid claim. They put in more man hours in some weeks than you spend awake. None of them are lazy. Just because they have a harder time working with certain architecture is not laziness. Would I call you lazy because you don't walk everywhere on stilts?
You have no idea how much work goes into a AAA game. The only reason oblivion looked debatably better is because they had an extra year to develop it. How many multi-platform titles do you need before developers sto...
